Electronic Arts annoncerede Army of Two til Playstation 3 og Xbox 360. Electronic Arts droppede også deres licens til at lave James Bond-spil, en licens der blev erhvervet af Activision.
Microsoft annoncerede det tredje kapitel i Halo-serien, Halo 3. Det var også måneden, hvor Twilight Princess officielt blev multiplatform, da Nintendo annoncerede, at titlen både ville blive udgivet til Wii og Gamecube.
Det var måneden, hvor Activision opkøbte Guitar Hero-skaberen RedOctane. Super Paper Mario blev også annonceret af Nintendo i maj 2006. Super Smash Bros. Wii blev også offentliggjort.
